Aziz - Goud
We assisted Aziz (new site!) again with one of his great projects: He is the curator of the exhibition 'Goud' (gold) in Het Catherijneconvent . In the exhibition, Aziz enhances the museum’s own collection with remarkable, thought-provoking, surprising, old, modern and contemporary works on loan. For example, there will be crowns, sceptres and jewels from the collection of the State Museum in Moscow. And, for the first time, the spectacular ensembles from Aziz himself - in which he frequently made use of gold - will be shown to the public.

Look at my post below: Photobucket just refused one of te posters (a nude mannequin) of Niet Normaal * Difference on Display. The Campagn was designed by Kessels Kramer. This campaign previously has been refused by NS (Dutch Railways). I feel violated and a bit invalid too.

The exhibition, entitled: Niet Normaal * Difference on Display, features the work of internationally renowned artists who in their work address a defining question of our time: what is normal and who decides?

My work as Senior Designer already has taken its toll; I can no longer be a lecturer at the Amsterdam Fashion Institute. There's simply not enough time to do everything I would like to do...
But a man has got to stay true to his beliefs. And therefor, little after this summer's Amsterdam Fashion Week, I will be officially out of fashion.

I'll start this September, but I feel corporate already:
I proudly attended the opening of the exposition of 'our' models ("Models Of Concern") and the presentation of the book with the same title. The expo is the last one in Stedelijk Museum CS. It is open untill August the 31st.

If you are considering to apply for a design master, you should really check out their program called CONTRACT. Learning on the job, under the supervision of 'design master' Gilian Schofer.

My contract in the PostCS building will end soon. I have to move my studio. My plan is to do this very literal.
I've started to redecorate my oldtimer Mercedes camper van. At the end of this summer, I will be working 'anywhere' in my mobile-guerrilla-design-machine.
